NoteWave on iOS & Android
NoteWave is built to work wherever your meetings happen. Our native mobile apps for iOS (iPhone & iPad) and Android allow you to record conversations on the go, manage meetings, and review action items right from your pocket.
Installation & Compatibility
Available on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad.
Requires iOS 15.0 or laterAvailable on Google Play.
Requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or laterRecording on Mobile & Background Resilience
Mobile operating systems aggressively suspend web browsers when screens turn off. NoteWave solves this with platform-native background audio engines:
Android routes recording through a dedicated native foreground service with microphone permissions, keeping audio recording alive even when your phone is locked in your pocket.
iOS utilizes native background audio session modes, ensuring speech capture continues smoothly if you lock your screen or briefly check calendar notes.
On iPad, NoteWave automatically detects the tablet form factor and renders the full desktop layout with persistent sidebar navigation rather than phone-style bottom tabs.
Gestures & Haptic Feedback
The mobile app provides tactile haptic feedback when starting, pausing, or stopping a recording, giving you physical confirmation without needing to look at your screen.
Instant Cloud Sync with Desktop
Everything recorded on your mobile device automatically syncs to your NoteWave cloud account. You can record a client meeting on your phone in the morning, and when you open your laptop at your desk, the transcript, AI summary, and meeting minutes will be ready.
Managing In-App Subscriptions
Mobile subscriptions are processed securely through Apple App Store and Google Play billing via RevenueCat:
- Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings > Subscriptions on your device.
- If you reinstalled the app or switched phones, click Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings to re-sync your active entitlement.
Mobile Troubleshooting
- Microphone blocked: Check your device settings under Settings > NoteWave > Microphone and toggle permission on.
- Recording interrupted by call: If an incoming phone call interrupts a recording, NoteWave preserves audio recorded up to the call point in local device storage.
- Sign-in issues: Ensure Safari/Chrome is set as your default browser for smooth biometric and OAuth sign-in.
